Not only was this a fun event - it is a great training tool.
This was a great opportunity do something different with your horse. As a training tool, it breaks up the monotony and stimulates the mind (for you and your horse). It is an activity that requires you and your horse to communicate and even be brave. Most of all it is a great way to have fun - which is essential to horsemanship - and it was a great time to meet new people and make new friends.
We had a great turn-out and lots of fun! The kids all got ribbons and goodie bags. We counted over 50 people at one point and we apologize to those who we did not get to say hi to. We are not sure how many people exactly came however, we know that the crowd demolished 50 - 1/2 lb Cheese Burgers (that's right 1/2 pound) and jumbo hot dogs as well as 2 whole barbequed salmon (which were 18-20 lbs EACH when Mike's buddy caught them the day before). It was a great day!!
